Description

3D model of the aulos found at Poseidonia in southern Italy, which dates from the end of the 6th to the beginning of the 5th c. BCE.The aulos from Poseidonia was found in 1969 in tomb 21 at the necropolis of Tempa del Prete, a few kilometres south of the town outside the ancient city walls. This instrument is preserved at the at the National Archaeological Museum of Poseidonia-Paestum, modern Capaccio, Salerno, inv. 23068.
